Tuscanny - Maremma Walk

Discover the countryside of the Tuscan Maremma by bicycle, on foot or on horseback. Soak in the beauty of the serene Tuscan landscapes. Feel the cool mountain air and the warm southern sun on one's skin. Explore picturesque former countryseats of the aristocracy and old crumbling farms. Wander among ancient monasteries, through medieval villages, primeval forests and along blossoming fields. Never far away is a clear sparkling river and, from the next hill you are bound to see the ocean and the coast of the Maremma. Siena is only 50km away by road.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Montieri
Day 2: A 10km around the “Poggio di Montieri”.
Day 3: A 15km walk to the medieval village of Gerfalco.
Day 4: Rest day.
Day 5: 20km walk to Travale.
Day 6: Day trip to Siena
Day 7: A 12km to the monastery of San Galgano.
Day 8: End of stay
