TEACHING TRAVEL I teach travel at some of the colleges around town. However, formal qualifications are only a small part of the training. I believe that a good travel agent will also know their geography, capital cities, world weather patterns, world religions and the best time to go to the popular destinations.

Discretion is another area which can’t be taught - it is important to know when not to say who I am and where I am calling from. If you don’t wish the boss or husband/wife/lover to know who I am, please tell me to be discreet, or don’t give me the phone numbers!

We are only human and we do make mistakes. However most mistakes can be easily rectified with the help of the network within the industry and from diligent clients.
